Transmeri and Solu Digital

Transmeri deployed Sharepoint Online and Power Platform for seamless support for employees’ everyday work

Transmeri is a Finnish family enterprise with a long and successful history in product launchings and creating market positions. The company markets and imports daily consumer goods, cosmetics, and natural cosmetics, in Finland and the Baltic states. Transmeri operates as part of the international Transmeri Group concern, which operates in the Baltic States, Russia, Byelorussia, China, Sweden, and Poland. The company revenue is some 38 million euros, and it employs approximately 90 people.

In Transmeri, the workflow and forms were concentrated in the Sharepoint On Premise environment, and they no longer answered to current needs. The company therefore decided to change over to the Sharepoint Online environment, and move all functions in a centralised way to the Office 365 environment. Co-operation between Transmeri and Solu Digital has a long history that has included various development projects. Therefore, Transmeri chose its long-term, trusted partner, Solu Digital, as its partner also in this changeover.

Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Flow, PowerBI) have been utilised in creating numerous forms. The solutions will also connect to background systems, when necessary. For example, information needed for the discrepancy-notice form can be fetched from the SAP order system using the order number. Solu Digital has also used the Forms tool to create public forms, from which the information is carried to SharePoint Online for further handling with the Flow tool. In addition to gathering and handling information, reports on, for example, input are easy to create.

Today, Sharepoint Online functions in the everyday work practices of Transmeri employees seamlessly and easily. Once signed in, users can access all systems, and messages move between applications, which is of central importance. Power BI and Power Apps production has been started, and revision 1 of Power BI is operational.
